ABOUT US
Who are we?
Fun with a Purpose is a student-led non-profit dedicated to supporting children in need in Hong Kong. Since launching our first event in 2024, we have continued to pursue our goal to make a positive impact.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower children in need through fun and educational experiences that broaden their exposure and spark their curiosity. By offering these opportunities that many take for granted, we aim to build their confidence, expand their interest, and strengthen family connections.

​​We support this mission through a self-sustainable model as a mini social enterprise by coordinating events on social issues and community service to foster social-mindedness and inspire others to make a positive difference.​

The Heart Behind this and Our Journey So Far...
Shaped by lifelong exposure to community service since I was young — through service trips in different countries and serving the homeless, orphans, elderly, and others — I've learned that commuity service is not an activity, but a lifestyle. This understanding has positively influenced me, and I hope to encourage others to embrace it as well!
With my love for children, I have enjoyed volunteering at Sunday school since I was 11, and have also started tutoring at a community center from Year 10. Tutoring underprivileged kids has made me realize how limited exposure affects their confidence and willingness to try new things.
Hoping to broaden their horizons, I organized our first activity, an art session in collaboration with a corporate sponsor where the children designed and painted their own tote bags, which turned out to be a huge success. I was so happy that my summer job money at a gelato shop was put into good use to cover the cost of the event .

As word spread, it has sparked more interests. Within six months, we have over 200 people taking part in different events such as lunch distribution to the elderly, soap recycling, animal shelter visit... etc. We are excited about this journey and how it will continue to evolve to bless more children!
